From a young age, she gained invaluable experience in the field of construction by assisting her uncle and father on numerous residential projects. These projects often included tasks such as landscaping and preparing spaces for rehabilitation services, giving her a solid foundation in the trade. Additionally, she cultivated an eye for interior design by collaborating with her mother on various creative design projects, which frequently involved decorating and enhancing interior spaces. Shannon further expanded her knowledge and skill set by enrolling in a reputable trade school program, where she not only earned a New York State approved skilled laborer certificate but also obtained her OSHA 10 certification for workplace safety. During her time in the program, and following its completion, she had the unique opportunity to work closely with a General Contractor who boasts over 30 years of experience in the construction field, where she gained practical experience as an apprentice. After acquiring the essential knowledge and expertise from her apprenticeship, she confidently decided to establish her own company, Heartfelt Construction.
